Conversations with a Stranger

There are many reasons some find it easier to share their personal experiences with strangers.

Lack of Judgment

Strangers have no preconceived notions about you, so they’re less likely to judge based on past behaviour or biases.

No Social Consequences

Unlike close friends or family, strangers aren’t deeply embedded in your life, so there’s no risk of long-term consequences if they react negatively or disagree with your choices.

Fresh Perspective

Strangers can offer an objective or neutral viewpoint, rather than being influenced by past interactions or emotions.

Catharsis/Vent

Sometimes, people just need to vent or process emotions aloud. Talking to a stranger can be a way to release pent-up thoughts without fear of them being used against them later.

Anonymity and Distance

If the interaction is fleeting (like with a bartender, a fellow traveler, or an online forum), there’s comfort in knowing the person won’t be around to remind you of what you shared.

Lack of Emotional Baggage

Unlike friends or family, strangers don’t come with complicated relationships, history, or expectations. This makes it easier to be open.

Human Connection

Sometimes, people just crave genuine human connection in the moment, and a stranger provides a fresh, unbiased listening ear.

Our Process

Our  role is simply to offer a safe, judgement-free space for you to express yourself and organize your thoughts. We're here to actively listen and respond, but we do not provide legal, business, or medical advice. This is a supportive conversation, not a professional service, and by attending, you release us from any legal responsibility. If you require medical, legal, or business advice, please consult a certified professional.

We use a video platform however, you have the option to remain completely anonymous or you can turn on your camera if you prefer.

I was able to speak without thinking about being judged, or anything else. I got it off my chest. I chose to not show myself but I was able to see her. The best $20 I've ever spent.

Anonymous

It was great to have someone actually listening to me. Just hearing myself say what I needed to say out loud helped me solve my dilemma.  I chose for us to speak face-to-face virtually.
